Interview
On 23 July 2025, our team had the amazing opportunity to sit down with The Kickabout Podcast for an open and inspiring conversation.
We shared stories from our journey, discussed the challenges and wins experienced so far, and explored our vision for the future.
A huge thank you to the Chris from The Kickabout podcast for making us feel so welcome and for giving us a platform to share our passion.
If you missed it, you can catch-up here.
Recently Completed
All initial visual assets for club kits and badges have been completed, giving our early builds a distinct identity.
We’ve added an immersive new splash screen that plays when the game boots up. It features a pulsing logo synced to a heartbeat, accompanied by ambient stadium audio. You’ll hear the tension of a freekick moment, culminating in a crowd eruption—designed to make you feel like you’re on the pitch.
The UI team finalized the Start Menu screens, with most feature hooks now in place. These should be fully functional by the time this update is published.
A simple ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) layer has been set up to streamline communication between the database and game systems. This will make future development and data handling much cleaner and more modular.
Currently in Progress
We’re collaborating with our Blender designer to create detailed stadium models and supporting infrastructure. These assets will serve both the 3D match simulator and the overhead tactical UI. This is a large and ongoing effort.
Additional polishing is underway for the main menu, alongside integration of the remaining features.
The player and club database is being finalised and integrated into the game systems.
Coming Next
A full review of the database is planned to catch any errors, omissions, or inconsistencies before deeper system integration.
We’ll be dissecting the current customisation asset to remove unused features and add essential ones specific to FCLM. The goal is a lean, tailored manager creation flow that fits seamlessly into our Start Menu.
